General comment: ★★★★☆ 4.5 | Review of the best “loop thing” game “The Legend of Zelda: Majora’s Mask 3D”

Game review

[The Legend of Zelda: Majora’s Mask 3D] is a remake of “The Legend of Zelda: Majora’s Mask”, which has been very popular with core fans since the NINTENDO 64 era.

I’ve played the 64th edition, but what has changed since the remake? Did new elements increase?

We will honestly review the good points and bad points!

This game is a game of Nintendo’s popular series “The Legend of Zelda” and is a hidden masterpiece nicknamed “Majora”.

The first “Majora’s Mask” before the remake was released on April 27, 2000 for the N64.

It’s a sequel to “Ocarina of Time”, but while the previous Tokioka was remade, this one’s Mjura was never remade.
However, after 15 years, Mjura’s Mask has finally been released with a new one!

The special game system that repeats time over a three-day period has been transformed into 3D and the controls (and specifications) have changed significantly.
New sub-events, additional mini-games, and easier saves make the game is much easier to play than the more challenging first game.

* Characters similar to the previous work (Tokioka) will appear, so if you have not played it, we recommend that you play Tokioka first.

It became easier to play

In the original (pre remake) Mjura, you had to save the game by playing a song called “Song of Time”, and it was quite hard to repeat time over three days, but the specifications have changed a lot in this game and you can save anytime.

In addition, we have improved the ease of use of songs that control time, such as skipping long movies and the “Time Overlap Song”, which is a song that controls time, making this game unique to portable console game software “Easy to play and enjoy anytime”.

With the 64 version, I remember my parents used to get mad at me for taking so long to play each time because I had to focus on the 3 days of time with gusto….

It’s a lot easier to play, so those of you who were frustrated with the 64 version of Majora’s Mask should give it a try again.

Abundant sub-events

This game only has 4 main dungeons plus a few more, so if you want to clear it, you can do it quickly.

But the best part of this game is the Sub-Events!
Various events occur at any time, in any order, and sometimes when you least expect it.

The game repeats over three days, but the events and conversations that occur on the first day, the second day, and so on change from day to day, so you will find new discoveries no matter how many times you play.

For example, if you fail a certain event on the first day, the third day ends up being unwatchable… You can enjoy many different patterns.

In particular, the events in the “Romany Farm” have a wide range of branches, and if you talk to them at certain times, you can hear the backstory of an older sister named Crimea.

(I was disappointed that I missed it, so I went to Romani Ranch many times …)

If you like timeliness, I highly recommend this game.

Operation is fun

You can use the masks to transform into the Goron tribe from the game, and the controls are a lot of fun!

Anyway, it’s a speed is a pleasant feeling, knocking down enemies and obstacles as fast as possible.

The goth battles where you fight in the form of Goron were hot, and I even went to battle with them for no reason.
We also ran through a mini-game called “Goron Race”, cut grass at breakneck speed, and relieved stress with Goron.

In addition, you can also control a character called “Deknut Tribe” and “Zora Tribe”, so you can enjoy not only the main character, Link, but also the adventure with various actions.

Everyone’s dialogue changes depending on the character (race), so you’ll want to try out different things.

Unfortunately

Difficulty

While gamers will be pleased with this element, it is a bit of a disadvantage for those who are new to the action, because of high difficulty.

The presence of hints called Seeker Stones has made the game easier to complete than the 64 version, but I think there are quite a few people who still get stuck.

Not to mention the sub-events, the dungeons are complex and have a limited “three days” to complete them, so you often have to go back to the first day because you don’t have enough time to complete them.

Rather than the action, I think the difficulty level is increased by the complexity of the puzzles (turning on and off), the map and the use of different characters.

‘I’m not good at action, but I love solving riddles!’, it might be easy to clear for those who say.
(By the way, I saw the capture even though it was the second lap …)

There are places where the N64 version was good

Compared to the original 64 version of Majora, [3DS Majora] has become much easier to play, but there are a few things that have changed in its specifications and rejected that are disappointing.

What I was concerned about was the speeding down of Zora Link.

I loved the exhilarating swim, along with Goron Link, but the 3DS version of the game slowed it all down.
(I thought it was a glitch because it was so slow…)

Along with that, I often struggled with the time-limited mini-games, and there were quite a few frustrating moments when I couldn’t get a feel for the flying fish jump.

This may not bother you if this is your first time playing the game on 3DS, but for those who have played the previous games, it’s a bit of a “what? There are many scenes that make you think, “What is this?

The way the bosses fight has also changed, so I’m left with a bit of a fuzzy feeling of “Was it like this?”, and it’s a shame that the nostalgia has been halved…

Evaluation summary

Music / graphics★★★★☆ 4.8

I’m very happy with the story, with the abundance of sub-events and the slightly black story.
Also, the music is pretty good. I loved the songs from Deknut Castle and Rockville.

It can’t be helped by the game’s specifications, but the negative point is that you have to put the masks on and off, and that process is a pain in the ass.
Compared to the 64 version, this game is easier to operate, but compared to games like RPGs and Mario, it requires more complicated controls.

However, apart from the controls, I would recommend this game without any complaints!

“Three days of life and death”, which changes depending on what you play, is irresistible.
It’s a game that adults should definitely play.
